Avid Learning partnered with the Government of St. Petersburg, Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Mumbai, Russian House in Mumbai, Moroshka Theatre and Royal Opera House, Mumbai to present “Miracle – A Performance by St. Petersburg State Theatre of Song and Dance on 26th September, 2023.
After touring 25 countries worldwide, The Russian National Show had its India premiere on the stage of The Royal Opera House, Mumbai. A real, magical journey to Russia through the amazing power of art. The show featured traditional folk and historical musical components that have been glorifying Russia and St. Petersburg for 125 years now. The program was attended by Shri Sudhir Mungantiwar, Honorable Minister of Culture, Fisheries and Forests (Maharashtra Shasan) and Mr. Vladimir Knyaginin, Vice Governor of Saint-Petersburg among other dignitaries and diplomats.
As part of the cultural and business mission of the Government of St. Petersburg, from 25th September to 30th September 2023, this concert of the St. Petersburg Song and Dance Theater “Moroshka” “Petersburg Russian Miracle” featured colorful dances and popular Russian folk songs performed by 23 artists. The performance was accompanied by an orchestra of Russian folk instruments with the participation of a concert balalaika. Balalaika, which has become a symbol of Russia throughout the world, was born in St. Petersburg

We have forayed into a strategic relationship with The Ministry of Culture in Russia and the Consulate General of Russia in Mumbai with whom we partnered in the past to present the Russian Film Days Festival as well as the Festival of Russian Culture in India last November celebrating 75 years of Indo-Russian diplomatic relations with two spellbinding performances. We are delighted to continue this trajectory of presenting these exceptional productions on this stage.
AVID has been consistently strengthening its partnerships with several Consulates including The United States, Canada, Israel, France, Switzerland, Turkey, Hungary, Poland, Italy, Sri Lanka, Australia and The Netherlands over the years. We also work closely with The British Council, Alliance Francaise de Bombay as well as the French High Commission, Max Mueller Bhavan to regularly bring in visiting scholars, filmmakers, artists, and authors.
