Avid Learning is proud to have partnered with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) for its third annual national conference, Virasat, Mapping India’s Cultural Sector. CEO of Avid Learning, Asad Lalljee has been a member of FICCI’s Tourism and Culture Sector since 2018. Under his guidance, Avid Learning has co-presented multiple symposiums with FICCI across various cities, furthering discussions on policy, innovation, and sustainable growth in the creative industries reinforcing Avid Learning’s commitment to fostering dialogue and collaboration in the arts and culture space.
Following on the success of city-wide symposiums in Kochi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, this conference provided a comprehensive exploration of India’s culture and creative economy, addressing critical themes such as policy, innovation, tourism, philanthropy, and community impact. The event convened thought leaders, policymakers, and industry experts, facilitating insightful discussions on shaping the future of the sector. The symposium featured keynote addresses, panel discussions, and an exclusive roundtable, the conference advanced conversations on leveraging the economic potential of the arts sector to drive employment, build infrastructure, preserve heritage, and amplify India’s cultural presence on global platforms.
The symposium also marked the launch of key reports that will shape the discourse around Tourism, Arts, and Culture in India. Avid Learning facilitated the launch of two key reports—Cultural Continuum Report, which explores the evolving relationship between tradition and contemporary cultural expressions, and Cultural Intersections Report, which examines cross-disciplinary collaborations within the creative industries and their impact on cultural sustainability. These reports serve as crucial resources for policy development, industry collaboration, and strategic planning in the creative and cultural sectors .It also included the Creative Economy Symposium Report, offering a comprehensive analysis of India’s evolving creative economy, its challenges, and growth potential, and the Beyond Tomorrow: Shaping Kerala’s Cultural Creative Economy Report, a forward-looking study on how Kerala can harness its rich cultural heritage and creative industries for sustainable economic development.
Discussions also underscored the integration of technology with design and diversity in the creative industries to ensure sustainable cultural progress.

A key highlight of the conference was the panel discussion on “The Vibrant Intersection of Tourism and the Arts, “which explored how the synergy between these sectors enhances visitor experiences, fosters economic growth, and strengthens local communities. Panellists shared insights on how tourism can showcase cultural identities through art festivals, public installations, immersive workshops, and culinary experiences, ultimately boosting sustainability and creative economies.
