The celebration of this event always enjoyed by children as this is the activity in which children’s from all standard like to participate and have a fun in a full day event. Children enjoys the day all together with full of enthusiasm and energy.
We always tried to give maximum exposure to the students of our school as these students are from rural background and have limited access of information and less opportunity to participate such events as their local level.
We, as a practice in our school have started very innovative and creative programs for children of age and standards in our annual calendar of events from last four years. And we have observed the fruitful output of efforts which we take to make these students more confident and socially active through these strategic inputs.
This year we have celebrated the children’s day in very energetic and fun filled atmosphere.
All the school premises and classrooms were decorated with balloons and colorful ribbons. Students tried to make their classrooms door more attractive decorated by applying their creativity.
The children’s day celebration was started with the fun games for all students which were organized by the senior students by themselves for the younger students. The students planned the activities as arrangement of game stalls and the management of crowd and. They have used decoration of stalls and some other innovative strategy to attract more students at their stall. They arranged the fun games like, coin in water bucket, throwing balls in buckets by blindfolds on eyes, targeting the target with rings, small ball with glass, straw and bubbles, sack race etc. All these arrangements of stall, game, crowd management and gift distribution has done by themselves only we just helped them with logistics and other material for this event.
At the second part of this event we have organized a cultural program for students. There was a program of Powada singing, a very renowned Lokakala of Maharashtra. We specially invited the group of child performers which were famous and very impressive artist of this Lokakala format. The children enjoyed the powada on environment, on historical heroes and on the Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj during this presentation. The main objective behind organizing this performance was to inspire children to understand such Lokakala format and motivate them to participate in such performances in future.
The program was followed by snacks and sweets for children. All the teachers and staff members took efforts and contributed to make this event more successful as well as more fun filled for all children.
