In the heart of Bhatani Village, Palghar, lies Sai Aadhar Orphanage, a haven for 38 children touched by adversity. Among them are those who, orphaned and forsaken, find solace within its walls.
Leading the charge is Vishal Parulekar, 37, a man of many roles—tempo driver, part-time security guard, and above all, guardian to these young souls. Beside him stands his wife, her strength matching his own as she juggles extra jobs alongside her duties at a local factory outlet.
Together, they work tirelessly to provide shelter, sustenance, and a sense of home to these 38 orphans, left behind by their biological parents. Yet their mission goes beyond mere provision—they believe in the transformative power of education. Every child under their care is enrolled in school, a ray of hope amidst the shadows of poverty.
At Essar Foundation, our dedication lies in being a guiding light for the underprivileged and marginalised in our society. We firmly believe that true compassion starts with self-kindness, and when we give with joy and receive with gratitude, it enriches us all.
For the past four years, Essar Foundation has stood in solidarity with Sai Aadhar Orphanage. Recognising their urgent need for sustenance, we have extended our support by providing essential food supplies such as rice, wheat, lentils, oil, sweets, sugar, tea powder, and sanitary pads for the girls residing at the orphanage.
Dominic Dsouza and Tej Singh Barwa, representing both Essar Foundation and Essar UK Services, recently visited Sai Aadhar Orphanage. Their visit was not merely ceremonial; rather, it was a heartfelt endeavour to connect with the children on a personal level. Spending quality time with the youngsters, they not only distributed much-needed ration supplies but also shared sweets, nurturing a strong sense of unity and friendship within the community.
Essar is committed to continuing its support for initiatives like these, ensuring that no child is left behind in their journey towards a brighter future.
