Jamnagar, Gujarat, March 8, 2025: Essar has organised the Dwarka Padyatri Seva Camp to support pilgrims traveling to Dwarka for the Ful-Dol Utsav on the occasion of Holi. The camp was inaugurated by Gujarat State’s Honourable Cabinet Minister, Shri Mulubhai Bera, in the presence of various government officials, the sarpanch of nearby villages, local residents, Essar officials, and padyatris.
Speaking at the event, Shri Mulubhai Bera welcomed the padyatris traveling from across Gujarat. He commended the collaborative efforts of local residents, government authorities, and various NGOs, along with Essar, in organising the Seva Camp under the “Zero Waste Mission.” He praised the cleanliness and hygienic environment provided for the padyatris. Additionally, he flagged off Essar’s waste collection van, marking another step towards the Swachh Bharat Mission. This initiative is supported by the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) and Khambhalia Nagarpalika.
This year, Essar has organised the Dwarka Padyatri Seva Camp in compliance with Gujarat Pollution Control Board’s guidelines, implementing extensive measures to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene at the camp and in surrounding areas.
Bhaven Bhatt, Resident Director of Essar, reaffirmed the Group’s commitment to social welfare through various initiatives.
Approximately 2 lakh padyatris are expected to walk towards Dwarka via this route, with 40,000 to 50,000 devotees directly benefiting from the food, water, refreshments, rest areas, and medical facilities provided at the camp.
