Essar Power MP, kick-started its celebrations of the “National Energy Conservation week” at its Bandhaura site on 14th December 2018. The week-long celebration started off with an Oath-taking ceremony, “to conserve and efficiently use energy (Electricity)”, by all Executives of the site.
The Essar Power MP team organized series of events through the week so as to make the awareness drive engaging and exciting. The highlight of the week and its event was the “Mini-Marathon: Run for Energy Conservation” – a 3 Km run to enhance visibility, promote and build an awareness amongst the people. This was followed up with a program “TED-The Energy Detective” where-in participants evaluated their surroundings to identify ways and means to conserve energy; quiz shows and more. Plant teams participated and competed enthusiastically in each of the events, making the whole initiative engaging and lively.
Mr. M K Sharma, COO who was the Chief Guest was delighted by the efforts of Essar Mahan team in deliberating towards the energy conservation and management. Mr. Sharma in his address made an important observation when he said “in view of the expanding economy and substantial increase in demand for energy, it is imperative to be sensitive to energy conservation and deploy environment friendly practices in operation. This will further reinforce our commitment to this critical area of operational excellence.”
