The 3rd edition of interschool talent hunt competition “Anmol Sitare 2017” was conducted recently as a part of promoting the local talents and giving them a competitive platform to showcase their talent in singing and dancing and acting.
The participating students were either self-trained or being guided by their parents, teachers and friends only. Total 270 students had participated in the initial screening round. All together 32 performances were selected for the final round received in four different categories – group dance, solo dance, singing and acting . Total 211 students performed in the various categories and were adjudged for the final show on 21st February 2017 that was held at Utsav Community Hall at Nand Niketan Essar Township, Hazira.
Among the eight participating schools from as many villages, best solo dance performance was from Primary School, Hazira, best group dance from Primary School, Damka, best singer from Primary School, Junagam, and best acting performance was from Primary school, Bhatlai on communal harmony. A special performance by Primary School, Suvali was based on girl child education and good parenting.
All the winners in different categories were awarded trophies and individual prizes. The event was well supported by the teachers of the participating schools and the efforts were well acknowledged and applauded by all. The performance was judged by Mrs Prema Das and well-known choreographer Pravin Bhai. Mr Ralph Sunil gave away the trophies and prizes to the winner along with judges. Anmol Sitare is an endeavour to promote culture and performing arts among the young. Providing such platforms is crucial for the right exposure and encouragement to rural talent.
